What a first two days of racing at Cartmel

Well, the first race meeting of the year at Cartmel Races has taken place, been and gone, done and dusted and it lived up to the hype and promise as always.

And Bay Villa, a luxury bed and breakfast in nearby Grange over Sands, hosted a fully booked week of Cartmel race goers. More importantly, very happy race goers which has been confirmed on the B&B’s Tripadvisor review page. Some were newbies, some were Cartmel racing stalwarts but all had one thing in common, the complete enjoyment of this very special racing circuit location and event.

Even despite a few grey skies here and there, the turnout was full capacity for both the Bank Holiday Monday racing and the family day on Wednesday complete with plenty of picnic action. The calibre of the horses and jockey’s continues to rise with Tom Scudamore, top lady rider Lucy Alexander and Monday’s treble winner Henry Brooke in action even on Wednesday’s meet.

Bay Villa B&B are now looking forward to welcoming another set of race goers on the next racing fixture weekend, Friday June 26th and Sunday 28th. Just one room remains at the bed & breakfast for the Friday, the room Silverdale, which is also available on Thursday 25th too so a short break can still be had.
